Golden Veld fine-grain continuation

One new 1536 × 1024 fully opaque ground study was generated with the built-in image_gen tool. It is a non-destructive painting regeneration, not pixel-identical preservation or a guaranteed exact palette match. The exact original WOG-A-001891, linked original WOG-A-002663 and catalogued candidate WOG-A-009252 remain intact. No renderer, source approval or world permission changes.

The complete native output and the sixteen isolated material references were directly viewed. The new study reduces the original strong diagonal lanes and avoids the four large shrub islands in the retained candidate. Fine painterly grain remains; tiny curls/tufts, subtle density recurrence and the reduced prominence of olive thorn plants still require review. Its native mean luminance is 125.924 versus 126.889 in the original; these scalar measurements do not prove exact colour or sharpness equivalence. Retain this one preferred new study for further qualification, without claiming full nonrepetition or complete artwork acceptance.

The comparison uses the actual deployed Canvas native-patch module with its field span 4 and the local CPU nonperiodic module with its span 1.25, each at diagnostic scales 1 and 2. These are distinct backends/configurations. They do not reproduce a normal world scene, establish CPU/GPU equivalence, certify biome/contact/state suitability or demonstrate a performance benefit. All warm reference pairs were exact. Raw buffers stayed in memory; only one bounded comparison board and compact findings remain.

Board columns, left to right: original Golden Veld; retained irregular candidate; new fine-grain study; approved meadow detail benchmark. Rows: deployed span 4 at scale 1; deployed span 4 at scale 2; local span 1.25 at scale 1; local span 1.25 at scale 2. Meadow approval is a scoped style/detail benchmark and does not transfer to the new painting.

The study is separately registered as WOG-A-009258. Complete nonrepetition, biome identity, physical grain/contact/scale/state, cost, lifecycle, admission and production-world checks remain pending. The full asset objective is unchanged. Evidence: generation and references generation.json, final prompt final-prompt.txt, native/material validation native-and-material-checks.json, comparison board material-scale-comparison.png. No raw generation-input copies, duplicate native previews, per-frame readbacks or rollback baseline were created.

Eight isolated local WebGL2 cases now compare the four native sources at scales 1 and 2 against the exact Node CPU component baselines. All stationary and pan-return comparisons are exact. CPU-versus-GPU maximum channel differences are 2–3 out of 255, with no alpha differences; they are not pixel-identical. The new study is exercised in two of these cases. These controlled component results do not close normal-world pan-return, full cost/lifecycle or source admission gates. See GPU fidelity diagnostics gpu-fidelity-checks.json. No raw frame file is retained.

Direct desktop and phone witness inspection still shows diagonal ground recurrence in both approved-control and new-study Hex views. The new study remains visibly warmer and drier. This does not pass the no-repeating-background requirement, and the cause is not attributed solely to the source painting or renderer without further isolation. Empty-field frames do not qualify building, plant or water contact. Forty normal local client frames now exercise approved meadow and original/retained/new Golden Veld sources through private field-slot diagnostics, across two viewports and five normal navigation phases. These are ten approved-control frames and thirty private-substitution frames; zero production-world frames. The initial failed site 373408 used the client grasslands profile because of its regional averages. A read-only selection using the exact current presentation implementation locates actual field-profile terrain without changing the world. The original negative witness remains retained. Source-paint assertions and full return/reload differences are in normal-world results world-context.json, with site selection world-profile-selection.json. Canonical Golden Veld role, palette, recurring microforms, full cost/lifecycle and admission remain open.

All eight tested Region returns have identical camera geometry and exact base/dynamic/static canvases; all eight Hex permalink reloads have identical context bounds and exact ground/foreground canvases. This closes those comparisons at this single empty-field site, not the existing wider pan/pressure, contact, cost or lifecycle backlog. See direct visual findings world-art-review.json.
