September 8 course-correction review queue
Current checkpoint: scenes-288-local. The user authorized automatic approval after exact provenance/format checks and direct assistant art-direction review. All 18 Hero slots are selected, using 04B and 05B for the identity-sensitive choices. Waves one through four are complete through Mana Spring and manifest illustrated-places-106-r15; the latest family passes 61/61 one-worker focused checks, the single-process raster verifier, overview/close composed review for all four profiles and the 404/404 two-worker wave gate. Thirty companion paintings are approved and 28 remain. Wave five begins with Irrigated Farms.
The queue below is retained as provenance and decision history. Routine candidates no longer require a reply from the user: assistant approval is valid only when the checks and direct review pass. Ambiguous or failed candidates still require user direction, and every runtime integration remains separately family-gated.
Review package history: scenes 260–275 assembled, validated and approved the queue. The decision register records the exact user authorization and all selections. Unintegrated review originals remain outside runtime even though their selected Hero masters are approved for subsequent bounded work.
This queue contains 20 images across 18 decision slots. Portal Nexus and Celestial Crater each provide an original A choice plus a selected identity-strengthened B choice. Every queued image was revalidated as an opaque 1536×1024, 8-bit RGB PNG, and its exact prompt and SHA-256 are retained in the linked family evidence.
For a resource-light review, run npm run review:art and open http://127.0.0.1:3411/. The one-image-at-a-time reviewer ../../tile-library/atlas-v2/hero-expansion/review/index.html loads one candidate into one image element, stores selections only for the current browser session and copies a decision line for this task. It does not submit approval or change runtime state. Stop the server after review.
The machine-readable decision register september-8-course-correction-decisions.json records all 18 selections and the exact user evidence. It authorizes subsequent Hero-master work under the automatic-review policy but does not blanket-authorize runtime routing. The validator remains read-only.
Review contract
Approve an image only if it preserves the September 5–7 terrain-first standard demonstrated by Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein, Monastery Hamlet and the approved Mana Spring desert samples:
- fixed upright high-oblique camera and consistent regional scale;
- full-bleed continuous terrain or water at every edge;
- muted painterly materials and restrained contrast;
- Hero landmark subordinate to geography, normally about 10–18% of the canvas;
- no transparency, halo, cutout, vignette, platform, UI-icon framing or saturated focal spectacle.
An approval applies only to the listed review image. It does not approve routing, companion art, composed browser behavior, joins, repetition, performance or release readiness.
Assistant visual preflight
All 20 images were inspected directly, in batches of no more than two. The advisory result is 18 clear art-direction passes, two passes with identity-readability cautions, and zero art-direction rejections. The cautions apply only to original choices 04A and 05A. New 04B presents a freestanding threshold with converging broken markers; new 05B presents an asymmetric impact scar with disturbed peat and a small meteor remnant. Exact observations are recorded in the assistant preflight september-8-course-correction-assistant-preflight.json. This evidence is not user approval.
After approval, queue ID 18 is the lowest-risk pilot integration. Its exact no-routing-before-companion-approval sequence, invariant site topology, two-worker test command and one-tab browser targets are recorded in the Dormant Volcano v2 integration-readiness plan dormant-volcano-v2-integration-readiness.json.
The complete post-approval workload and order are recorded in the six-wave integration plan september-8-course-correction-integration-order.json. Across the 16 families it covers 29 profile sets: 19 Hero masters already exist, while 10 additional profile Heroes and 58 approved companion paintings are still required after the current review gate.

Decision recording
Record approval by queue ID or family/profile. For Portal Nexus and Celestial Crater, choose exactly one of 04A/04B and one of 05A/05B. An explicit “approve the recommended set” means 01–03, 04B, 05B and 06–18; it does not approve superseded A alternatives. List any rejected IDs with the specific visual issue. Until that explicit decision is recorded, every image above stays inactive and all integration, composed-browser, companion, join, repetition, performance and release gates remain open.
