Wetland base-paint reload trace — November 3, 2026

Previous goal turn classification: progress. This focused observation reuses the sole disposable stock-initialized QA world and the same naturally occurring wetland site. It issues no world command and changes no artwork, public source contract or algorithm file. An observation-only wrapper invokes the original public paint function and records native input values and the base-paint output hash before the final terrain composition.

Both existing span2 and original span1.25 controls complete five normal-client navigation frames each. The source URLs and hashes are verified, browser contexts close and the owned server exits0. Base paint, final ground and foreground each match after reload in both cases. All four bounded complete PNG witnesses exactly match retained prior witnesses; no new screenshot, raw buffer, source input or rollback baseline is saved.

This repeat does not reproduce the original32-pixel reload difference. Its original failed comparison and distinct reload hash remain preserved. Because no divergent frame was captured with the new stage trace, neither the failing stage nor the root cause is established. Deterministic reload, whole-ground nonrepetition, physical grain/palette/contact, perceptual fidelity and complete performance/lifecycle remain open. The instrumentation is ready to distinguish base-sampling changes from later composition changes when a failure recurs.

Cumulative earlier plus current evidence totals50 frames:40 original-source and10 prior diagnostic-source, including30 private-contract frames. This stage adds10 observation-instrumented original-source frames, with5 private span controls and no new diagnostic painting. It grants no source admission or public activation.
